End - of - term Report
Part A:
Together, we made some progress.
Vision – To make Afo-a-Kom USA One of the Leading Kom Cultural & Development Organization
Mission – Projecting Kom and its people through culture, language, and impactful community projects
Summary of Accomplishments:
- Agriculture Inputs Project
- Distributed over 18,000 kg of fertilizer across 30 plus villages in Kom
- Construction of a bridge in Mboh for a population of 3500 plus, that connects to several villages and farms.
- Construction of a water tank and provision of clean water to a population of 2,000 plus at Fujua
- Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Afo-akom return.
- Construction of storage house for Afo-a-kom statue at the Kom Palace will be realized, thanks to the 50th anniversary celebration.
- Our American-born kids who attended got inspired and took pictures and later presented in their pre-school classroom.
- Members are learning and promoting Kom
- We have instituted the speaking, writing, and reading of Kom Language
- Our Children performed Kom activities during the last convention for the first time.
- Life Trouble Fund – $20,000 benefit
- We have instituted a computer literacy program for members of our organization and the first batch of 17 graduated during the Atlanta convention.
- The current finances of the organization is outstanding
- Instituted the Optional Life Trouble Fund (OLTF). So far, we paid out a total of $60,000 to beneficiaries of loved ones.
- Instituted digital/computer literacy program for members of our organization
- Triggered the setting-up of Ombudsman’s office with Chapter representatives as stipulated in the constitution.
- Two new Chapters have registered with National this year (Oklahoma and Midwestern Chapters)
- Developed a simplified scholarship application process
- Instituted an inclusive project identification process where members of the organization can submit proposals for microprojects
- Currently have 467 members in the VMH
- Members who don’t belong to any chapter feel connected to their Kom brothers/sisters.
- Members’ businesses & entrepreneurial ventures are advertised, promoted, and
- Our parents and grandparents finally have a voice through this medium
- Members’ accomplishments are celebrated.
- YouTube channel – lessons on culture and the learning of Kom language up & running.
- We have rebuilt our It will accommodate payments, and chapter portals.
- Currently have more than 100 organization members engaged in committees, prayer team and as facilitators.
Part B:

During conventions, AGMs will be held on Fridays instead of Saturday.
