Roland Diom

Proudly Kom and represent my people anywhere I happen to find myself. I spent some of my summers in Anyajua where I was greatly influenced by my maternal grandparents. They instilled in me ambitious Educational goals and Spiritual values that have only grown over the years. I also learned valuable life lessons by my interaction with village children back in the mid 90s. Most memorable was the fanfare on market days and around the locally sponsored football tournaments.

I remember most of those people not having much physically but the joy and peace in those faces kept a flame of hope burning in me to make a difference in their lives no matter how small and just for the sake of humanity. I reside in Dallas-Texas where I work as a Registered Nurse at the Medical Center of Plano soon to be Medical City Plano Neuroscience Unit. I have been a member of Afo-Akom USA since 2011.

I represent the newly formed Komnamites USA as the Chair of the Fundraising Committee while laying the foundation work for an Afo-Akom Dallas chapter which will, for the first time be represented at the National Convention 2017 in the District of Columbia. What an opportunity we have to make a difference in someone's life. Blessings flow when we selflessly offer opportunities to people less privileged than ourselves and expect nothing in return.

So here is our chance!
