Re: Nomination for our People’s Choice Award (PCA)
We are excited to invite all members of our organization to nominate someone for our People’s
Choice Award, which recognizes Afo-a-kom USA members who have made significant contributions
to our organization’s mission and values. The award is a way to honor those who have
demonstrated exceptional leadership, engagement, promotion of our culture, and collaboration
within our Kommunity.
Nominees must be current members of our organization in good standing and registered to attend
the 2023 Atlanta Komvention. To submit a nomination, please send the Name of your nominee and
PCA, with a brief description of why the nominee deserves the award in a WhatsApp message to
240-486-9339. To be considered, nominations must be received on or before May 20th 2023.
The award is made possible by the donation from our current National President, Dr. Promise “PK”
Yong, and comes with a cash price of:
$250 to Afo-a-kom USA man of the year
$250 to Afo-a-kom USA woman of the year
Except otherwise determined, the winner will be determined by electronic vote in our virtual
meeting house and will be announced during our award ceremony at the upcoming 2023
convention in Atlanta, Georgia, where they will receive their award and certificate of recognition.
We encourage all members to participate in this exciting opportunity that seeks to drive
engagement within our organization while recognizing the outstanding contributions of individuals
